God Loves When You Talk To Him

Today's Gospel Truth ~  "And when thou prayest, thou shalt  not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.  But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly ."  Matthew 6:5-6

We serve a loving God who loves to communicate with his children, as a matter of fact he waits for us to talk with him as we arise in the morning to hear what is on our minds and in our hearts.  Our Heavenly Father is always speaking and it delights him when we join in with him by listening to his voice, sharing with him and doing what he asks us to do.  Because Abba Father is very comfortable with and enjoys having personal interactions  with us we are encouraged to stay away from deceitful, unfaithful behaviours such as being a two-faced hypocrite.

As we come before God in our own private moments the more of ourselves we can be with him, thus we are able to convey exactly what we are feeling to him.  Our Father is more real, open, and honest than anyone we can ever find to share our hearts with and he never cared for the pretending, role-play method of coming before him in prayer.  We are encouraged to not be like the prayer-ignorant heathens who are full of formulas, programs, and techniques when we go before God in prayer but to offer simple prayers.  Our Father is so knowledgeable that he knows what we are dealing with when we enter his presence and he knows better than us what we need before we have need of it.  Therefore, with such an understanding loving God we are advised to offer up simple prayers such as that of the Our Father Prayer and to be one on one our relationship with him.  As we move away from using practiced techniques in prayer we will shift the focus from us to God and experience his marvelous grace.

After this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father which art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done in earth,

as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts,

as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil:

For thine is the kingdom,

and the power, and the glory,

for ever. **AMEN**
