Keep Your Hope Alive and Smiling

Today's Gospel Truth ~  "For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.  And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end.  That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.  For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,   Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee."  Hebrews 6:10-14

All of the attributes God has given us work more effectively when they are at peace and in harmony with each other. Which is true of hope, actually our hope smiles when we are using it properly. Naturally, our hope is affected by our thoughts, emotions, hearing, and seeing while spiritually our hope is based on the written and living word of God. When we receive that which we have been hoping for we become joyful and we smile delightfully from within which extends itself without because the happiness is too much to contain in one place. Even though there are times life becomes rough God reminds us that he is not in any way unrighteous and he doesn't miss anything that we do for him. In fact, God inspires our hope in this passage with proof of the story of Abraham. God was so certain of his word coming alive within Abraham's life that he swore on his promise to Abraham by his own name.

Thus, we know that God does not lie, the words, the promise God has spoken to you will come to life, regardless of the hardships you may face, like Abraham we must stick it out and keep our hope filled with the surety that God's word will live in our lives. Because God wanted to give Abraham so much he told him, "I promise I will bless you with everything I have - bless and bless and bless." (vs 14) At times Abraham faced extremely rough days but he held on strongly to the hope that was in him that God was going to do what he said and he received everything God promised him.

When in life your hope becomes sad, seek to inspire it with a little talk with the Father and ask him for direction as you study his word, God enjoys speaking directly to our needs. Our capacity to spiritually use our hope must remain at it's peek so that it may always function smoothly with our faith. There is a saying, 'Keep Hope Alive', this action we must take an active role in doing when we find our hope becoming weary or sad. God will never break his word to you therefore, raise your expectancy level in the hope you have received in Christ and hold on to God's unbreakable, unshakable promise to you. **AMEN**

"Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ."  1 Peter 1:13
